Curriculum

Paul van Seters studied law at Utrecht University (1966-1972) and sociology at the University of California in Berkeley (1972-1978) where he also worked as a Research Associate at the Center for the Study of Law and Society. In 1988 he finished his doctorate thesis at the Berkeley Department of Sociology. Since 1978 he works at the Faculty of Law, Tilburg University, first as lecturer, later as professor in Sociology of Law. In 1992 he was appointed professor-director of the Schoordijk Institute, the research institute and graduate school of the Tilburg Faculty of Law.
