L.G.U. (Ulf) Göranson (Uppsala University)

Prof. Ulf Göranson studied law and history at Uppsala University. After graduation in 1973, he served as a judicial clerk and junior judge until his return, in 1979, to the Faculty of Law in Uppsala. He taught private law as a lecturer and completed his doctoral thesis, a comparative study of the transfer of ownership, in 1985. In 1991 he was appointed Professor of Comparative and International Private Law at the Uppsala University. He has published books, e.g. on the battle of form and on the actio Pauliana, and articles in the fields of private law, comparative law, private international law and legal history. He has been a visiting professor at the law faculties of Minneapolis and Hamburg. In 1996 he was appointed chief librarian of Uppsala university.
