Annual meeting of the Netherlands Comparative Law Association

The annual meeting of the Netherlands Comparative Law Association will take place on 16 December 2003. During this meeting, the following three consultative reports will be discussed:

Prof. J.M. Smits, ‘Constitutionalisering van het vermogensrecht’ (The constitutionalisation of patrimonial law)

Prof. P.H.M. Gerver, ‘Publiciteit met betrekking tot onroerende zaken, in het bijzonder in verband met publiekrechtelijke beperkingen. Een vergelijking tussen het Nederlandse, Duitse, Franse en Italiaanse recht’ (Publicity with regard to immovable property, particularly in connection with public law restrictions: A comparison between Dutch, German, French and Italian law)

Prof. D.A. Lubach, ‘Convergerende tendensen in het Europese bestuursrecht’ (Converging trends in European administrative law).

The meeting will take place in the building of the ‘Stichting tot Bevordering van de Notariële Wetenschap’, Van Eeghenstraat 222, Amsterdam, and will be open to members and non-members of the association. The meeting will start at 10.00 hrs., and last until about 17.15 hrs. The language of the meeting will be Dutch. Lunch will be offered, though will be at participants’ expense. Members of the ‘Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten’ (Netherlands Bar Association) and members of the ‘Koninklijke Notariële Beroepsorganisatie’ (Netherlands Royal Society of Notaries) may receive four credits for attendance. Admission is free for members of the Netherlands Comparative Law Association; they will receive further information. Non-members can register by transferring the amount of 60 euros to Postbank account number 1569782 of the ‘Nederlandse Vereniging voor Rechtsvergelijking’, mentioning ‘jaarvergadering’.
