1 JANUARY 2013: EJCL CONTINUES AS EJCLG
Transition to Brill Publishers and Groningen University
As of 1 January 2013 the EJCL will continue as the "European Journal of Comparative Law and Governance" (EJCLG), with an aim and scope reflecting its extended area of attention.
The journal will be published, both in print and online, by Brill Publishers of Leiden in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Groningen University. To ensure continuity, the EJCL Editorial Board have agreed to serve on the newly created Advisory Board to the EJCLG and the Editor-in-Chief of the EJCL, Professor Sjef van Erp, will serve as Editor-in-Chief to the EJCLG for a term of two to three years before turning over his office to Professor Aurelia Colombi Ciacchi of Groningen University.
As the EJCL has always been an open-access journal and the copyright of EJCL contributions remains with the authors, Brill Publishers have committed to ensuring that all published EJCL issues remain freely accessible, and free of charge, online.
The EJCL Editorial Board wishes to thank all those who have been involved in and contributed to the EJCL, particularly its Assistant Editor of the past six years, Dick Broeren, and it commemorates with deep gratitude and fondness his predecessor, the late Hildegard Penn, who was there from the start and played such a pivotal role in building the EJCL.
