ANNOUNCEMENT

International Association of Procedural Law Conference, Toronto, Canada, 3-5 June 2009

The 2009 Conference of the International Association of Procedural Law will be held in Toronto from 3 to 5 June 2009. The theme of the Conference is Common Law/Civil Law: The Future of Categories - Categories of the Future. The Conference will consider whether, in view of ongoing procedural reforms, the age-old categories of common law and civil law continue to be relevant to procedural systems and, if not, whether new categories are emerging or whether, indeed, such categories will have a role to play in the future. As can be seen from the programme, available at www.iapl2009.org, a spectacular group of scholars have agreed to participate as speakers and panelists. The lively participation of all attendees, including in "Reports from the Floor, will be greatly appreciated."

The Conference will be co-hosted by Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, New York University School of Law, and the Dwight D. Opperman Institute of Judicial Administration.
